Exhibitions & press

Since November 2024, Eyes Wide Open has been shown in Paris, La Défense and Madrid, and covered by the Spanish press.

Salon Marjolaine, Paris

I first showed Eyes Wide Open in Paris, at the Salon Marjolaine, in November 2024. Six days of exhibition among 60,000 visitors who had come to talk about ecology, food and responsible consumption. It was a surprising place for a photo exhibition, and for exactly that reason, ideal. I wanted my images to leave the galleries and meet ordinary people — committed, curious or simply intrigued. The reactions were strong, sometimes overwhelming. Many visitors stood in silence for a long time in front of some of the works. Others asked me very concrete questions: “How did you do it?”, “Is it real?”, “Does this really exist somewhere?” Those conversations left a deep mark on me.

CEC Impact Convention, La Défense

A few days earlier, I had also exhibited at the CEC Impact Convention in La Défense. A different atmosphere: companies, decision-makers and executives who had come to think about the ecological transition. 160 business leaders were there. I feared my images would seem too blunt, too disturbing. On the contrary, they sparked fascinating discussions. Three of them even chose to hang some of the works in their offices, to carry the reflection on with their teams. That is when I understood that photography could still, despite everything, start a dialogue.

Alliance Française de Madrid

The exhibition then travelled to Madrid, to the Alliance Française, from 28 April to 29 July 2025. The reception there was very different, almost academic. Teachers used my series in their French classes as a starting point for discussions about the environment, society and individual responsibility. Seeing my images used this way, in a teaching setting, touched me deeply. It was proof that Eyes Wide Open could be a tool for passing things on, not just a work to contemplate.

Press

The Madrid exhibition was covered by the Spanish news agency EFE and picked up by several national newspapers.
